TL;DR: some filter is plaguing a ton of anime girl pictures on the internet and it is lowering the quality/fidelity of them for no good reason
hi, i curate an anime girl room on the internet and i look through tons of anime girls all the time and decide which ones are worth posting………
so i end up seeing trends in pictures like the thing where they are lifting one leg high, or the trend where every one started adding moles to them (usually in one of 3 places, the boob, next to eye, or some times on the butt for some reason)…..
for the last couple of years some type of retarded filter has been being used that misaligns the color channels or some thing, and it just makes the picture look blurrier and purposely downgrades the fidelity of the picture, in order to make it look old and shitty i guess…..
but it has become so prevalent, it is driving me nuts.. i know normal people wouldn’t usually notice it, but since i go through so many anime girls all the time, i can almost instantly tell when a picture has used it.. especially if they put the strength of the filter up to strong..
i don’t even know what the filter is called, or why so many people are using it…… does it have some really cool name for the filter? because why are so many people using it.. i swear like 10% of the pictures i go through have used this filter….. and i wouldn’t even care if it made the image look better, but the whole point of the filter is to make it lose fidelity and look worse.. it is like they make a great picture, and then once it is done they think “now for the final touch…. to make it blurrier and crappier looking before i upload it to the internet”
and you can really see it on dark lines.. it will make one side have a cyan color, and the opposite direction will be a red color
i started excluding any image using it from being posted because i am so sick of seeing it used all the time..
i was hoping people would eventually stop using it, but it has been over 2 years and people are still using it non-stop.. what program is it on and what is the name of the filter?
i have attached 2 images and then 2 zoomed-in parts.. the 2nd girl is supposed to have dark hair and yet there is cyan and red every where.. i imagine the original picture looked good, but then they run it through this filter before they upload it and just turns it in to lower quality for no reason and i’m sick of seeing the fricking cyan and red haunting me on every picture.. the picture just isn’t complete until you add cyan/red ghosting on the entire image!
thank you for coming to my rant
