Not really. You need a good way to quickly test out all possible fight combinations. The 2 players option is somewhat interesting, but it could have been used as a placeholder until the CPU AI was programmed in.
@alyx @coolboymew Or if they wanted to test out certain things without the CPU player enabled.
@hootsmcboots @alyx it's very possible the mode was also intended for game journos to take screenshots without getting gud
