@alyx I'd just like to interject for a moment. Linux is only a kernel that does not operate on its own, so it is nonsensical to say things like "Linux device". The steam deck runs systemd/Linux. Provided the wireless card chosen supports AP mode, you can change some settings in networkmanager etc (or whatever is used) to enable hotspot sharing. Ad-hoc or 802.11s would really be a better way to share a connection mind you.
