@ArdainianRight @alyx I half agree with this but I reject the notion that this is vanity because that would be a feminine trait and troons have basically no feminine spirit or traits, only hyperperverted masculine spirit and traits. The tranny who demands to be told that he looks great or to get other validation does so for two reasons: first, it fuels the fetish. It makes him aroused and he masturbates to it. It’s unpleasant to think about but everytime a tranny gets called pretty this is happening on the other side of that screen. It’s pure, albeit warped, male Eros, a male coomer degenerated to its lowest form. Secondly, it’s a power trip, from the masculine desire to dominate. When a tranny gets others to tell him he looks cute or even to call him “her” or by a woman’s name that he made up, it’s a power trip, because forcing other people to lie under threat of the social (or sometimes literal) violence that comes from denying trannies is a power trip, it’s the kind of power trip that petty tyrants love the most, it’s the same kind of guy that gets drunk and beats his wife to a pulp to feel important. Funny enough, troons are the only actual example of toxic masculinity that is still a wide scale systemic problem in our society.

I'd disagree in that men are perfectly capable of vanity too. You can argue that vanity is found less often in men than women, or to lesser degrees, but nonetheless, vain men do exist.

@alyx @ArdainianRight Sure vain men exist, just like some women exist who have some masculine traits. But I don’t believe that troons possess any feminine traits categorically, that is AS TROONS. some may possess vanity or any other feminine vices or virtues as individuals but it’s not a part of what makes them troons, it’s just individual characteristics. And I don’t just deny this because I want to be petty and deny them even a sliver of femininity on a categorical level, I’ve been around them I’ve talked to them and they genuinely don’t possess any femininity outside of the womens clothes and makeup, they ape being women in very masculine ways.

This discussion reminds me of a study I've heard about some years ago.
The organizers divided the women involved in the study in 3 groups.
One group was given testosterone; one group was given testosterone, but told they received a placebo; and the third was given a placebo but told they were given the testosterone.

The women who were given the testosterone, but thought they had a placebo, didn't change their behavior much, but they became slightly more cooperative, were easier to work with in teams.

But here's the interesting part: all the women who were told they were given testosterone, including the ones who were given the placebo, suddenly started to adopt all the kinds of behaviors that feminists like to call "toxic masculinity". Anything negative that you heard thrown on men, they were doing it. More aggressive, violent, harder to get along or work with.

IIRC the study was looking for something else entirely, this discovery was purely accidental.
