*cough* I'm against circumcision too, and so are a lot of people. The ones that actually push circumcision and persuade the mothers to consent to it are doctors and nurses. *COUGH*

Plenty do. The issue is that doctors spread lies that it somehow helped prevent AIDS, at a time when most people hadn't realized that doctors can behave like greedy butchers. So people believed it, and still think it's one of those true & good things doctors did before they turned evil, so they haven't gotten around to reanalyzing the issue. Kinda how people still think there was a time when journalists were trustworthy, so they don't question past investigations and articles.
