As far as I can tell, the only "good" Google products/services are either legacy ones (i.e. Search, Gmail) or bought ones (i.e. YouTube). It doesn't seem like Google has the competent staff required to build something good anymore. And this has been the case for a long time. Which leaves me wondering, what the hell do they do to all the programmers that aspire to one day work over there? Do they get brainwashed the second they go there, or what?
