Just saw this now. I guess the movie really was first... always had the impression it was the other way around, cause I only saw the movie on TV, and it obviously came several years later after it was released at the cinema.

Makes sense. Comics weren't really a thing in post-communist Romania. They're barely starting to trickle in now.
