No, I get that it's all satire, it just doesn't work as well for more rational societies that don't actually think living on debt is a good idea because it gives you bonus points with the banks, and where debit cards are the actual norm.

This gave me an idea though. We complain about the Chinese social score system, but Americans have had that with the banks for decades, and no one even noticed.
