I have to ask I guess... what kind of shit digital artist doesn't keep originals of his works, and expects a random website to do it?

That's good to hear, but my point still stands. An artist should not depend on 3rd parties to preserve their work. If you don't keep your own PSDs safe, you're doing something very wrong. There's nothing stopping Gelbooru, or all the other booru sites, from shutting down unexpectedly.
Most of those still exist on my websites though.
