Solar panels have their place. They're great for someone living a modest life, on a self sufficient farm, off the grid, things like that.

You just can't expect to depend on them to power a big, industrial focused country. They work better as an useful addition, to an alternative consistent power source, to lower electricity costs during the day.

Yeah... we really need to start up nuclear again. I've heard we're starting to run out of some specific rare elements that can only be produced in nuclear reactors.

Remember when we went away from using paper because we needed to stop chopping down trees?.... And now we're going back to using paper because plastic pollutes...

It's become such a mess...

If you can grow biomass as fast as you use it, you technically reabsorb the CO2 from burning it. So you'd get the net zero. But that ignores the energy costs of processing, transporting, etc.
