@Deadjuice97@poa.st Why the fuck do games released in 2008 even need a remake? Graphics have barely improved since then.

Just update the original game with high resolution/framerate support and uncompressed textures or something and call it a day. That's all what I would want

Dead Space 1 had significant technical flaws, and it's graphics didn't age very well. It's one of the few games I would have approved for a overhaul. But leave it to EA to completely butcher it anyway.

P.S. If you're wondering about the flaws, it has to do with controls being completely broken. Whether you played with mouse or a gamepad, it's virtually unplayable on PC. IIRC the gamepad had screwed up deadzones or something to that effect. And I only know about that, because I was desperate to find some other way to play it, because the mouse is even worse. It has a strange mouse acceleration profile baked in, that gets worse with high fps.
I didn't even notice it the first time I ever played it, but that was because my PC at that time could only do 20-30 fps.
You can't use vsync to cap the framerate, because vsync lags controls so much that it's the first thing people recommend you turn off. And even if you cap at 60 fps, that's still too high of fps, and the mouse acceleration is unusable.

There are some community attempts to fix it, but the solutions are far from ideal.
