In other news, I just thought of an idea for one of these media review sites. Because brigading and generally poor thought out reviews usually come with either a 1 or 10 attached, just ignore these reviews when doing the average. Only add in those reviews to the average when the 2 or 9 ratings exceed a certain proportion.

If a movie has a large proportion of 9 ratings, then it's likely good, so the 10 reviews are likely legitimate too, so they should be included in the average. But say it has a large proportion of 5-6, barely any 9, and more 10 than all the others combined, you know that's gonna be brigading, and because they're not representative of the product, you shouldn't include them when doing the final score.
