IIRC aspartame messes with your gut bacteria to such a degree that it's still possible to give you diabetes. Don't remember the quantities needed to obtain the effect though.

Skyrim is decent. Fallout 4, never played.

It's gonna depend a lot on what you're looking for.
If you want a stunning story with amazing RPG mechanics, you're looking at the wrong games. Go for Morrowind & Fallout 2.
If you want a sandbox that allows to mod the shit out of it, and do things that no sane dev ever dreamt for that game to do, then Skyrim and Fallout 4 are amazing games.
