Vaccines in general don't provide a magic shield that prevents the corresponding virus from ever entering your body, it just makes your body better prepared for when it does, so it can fight it faster. And theoretically, as long as it managed to enter your body, you could potentially transmit it further.

So I get why they're probably not even allowed to claim that it reduces or prevents transmission. But in practice, if you manage to drastically reduce the time the virus survives in your body, you'll also reduce the time span in which you could transmit it to others. If it could cut down that 2 weeks of being infectious to 2-3 days, that will clearly translate into fewer people you could have had contact with while carrying the virus.

As for the limited protection, that is a serious problem. Even antibodies made through contracting the disease fade over time. It's basically, if we actually want to eliminate Covid completely, we'd have to vaccinate everyone within a very narrow span of time, which won't happen.

Generally speaking, from my knowledge, the correct definition of "herd immunity" is the one on the left screenshot. Problem is, with most infectious diseases, Covid-19 included, it's actually borderline impossible to achieve herd immunity only through normal infections, without a vaccine (you need 70-90% of population to become immune, which by natural means alone would take far too long to accomplish). Practically speaking, you won't be able to achieve herd immunity without a vaccine, which is why it's a concept worth discussion only in regards to how much of the population got vaccinated.

I've noticed it generally works a bit better for retro games that don't assault your senses as much as modern games. I still long for the era when you didn't need to make items and loot drops shiny for the player to see them. For those sort of games you can still have enough attention to spare where you can have something else playing in the background.
I don't expect it to work with everyone though, but you can give it a try.

I can enjoy the game while watching videos or a stream, or something like that. Works great for turn based games, or games you play almost automatically (like doing a Baal run in Diablo 2).

How come no one told me you could play Fallout 1 in windowed mode?... guess which game I'm most likely to finish next...
