I think you're taking the worst case possible, and assuming hydrogen bombs will literally destroy everything. In reality you'll only have bombs drop on major cities, with smaller ones and rural areas remaining unscathed. You'll still have farms capable of producing food, you'll still have plenty of domesticated animals.

The problem arises if you had fissile nukes drop instead, cause the radiation would spread even over the areas not attacked directly, and this would be the case where even farms would be compromised and you no longer have a good food source.

@MeBigbrain @Terry
Looked this up quickly, and mostly 2 things made this possible.
1) The bombs exploded while still very high in the air. The damage was mostly caused by the shock wave and extreme heat, but the radioactive elements themselves were quickly dissipated by the winds. They didn't have time to land on soil and concentrate in those areas.
2) They were first generation bombs, that were actually quite inefficient, and didn't produce a lot of the really radioactive elements.

@Terry
Sure, but does he really think Russians are gonna use the fancy expensive hydrogen nukes on you, instead of the old fashioned uranium or plutonium ones?

What he says is technically not wrong, cause for the more intellectual bunch, the fear of a nuclear war isn't even the death of millions. They understand that humanity can strive on and overcome such tragedy. The issue is the possibility that the planet could become contaminated with insane amounts of radiation, that would simply make everywhere inhospitable to human life. That's not something we've ever faced, and it's not something we know how or if we could overcome.

Even Windows XP had CD/DVD burning capabilities, it's just that it was shit.

@LukeAlmighty
I don't think people understand how hard it is to stop a truck.

@af2
I mean... I'm putting the question out there for others to answer. So how autistic are YOU?

If video games were to stop being produced tomorrow, how many lifetimes of entertainment do you think you could get from the currently existing games?

@galena
I like how they sound, but to me it just seams like they're referring to Borderlands 2.
If "The Post Pre Sequel" were a math equation, you'd just simplify "Post" with "Pre" and be left with "The Sequel", which is Borderlands 2.

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel 2?
Borderlands The Sequel Pre-Sequel?

I want to find a good name for a Borderlands filler between 2 and 3.

It is mandated by law in Dubai that every computer must be certified that it can run Crysis.
