I personally disagree that it was better than ME3. Mass Effect at least used a deus ex machina magical machine that killed all the reapers to solve the problem.
Lost didn't even do that. There was no plot device that ended the monster or fixed the island. Lost basically did a "it was all a dream".

Cute bedtime story. It could have seemed slightly believable if he stopped before the "muh underground secret advanced research base". This is real life, not a Half-Life fan-fiction universe.
Also, it's extra hard to take this serious when he literally uses the Dharma Initiative logo. I can't believe there are people who still try to cling to Lost. It might have been a good show, but it had the absolute worst ending in TV history.
