Isn't it funny how 4chan is at the absolute nexus of all English-language (and more besides) online culture, the absolute teat from which the milk of "fun culture" online stems? how it's been that way now for fifteen years? Isn't it funny how even the most normie humour, like boomer Facebook image macros, is ultimately trickled down from 4chan - albeit a long-gone distant-in-time 4chan from last decade, like the light from a distant star finally reaching the boomers years later?

Isn't it funny how 4chan has had a direct hand in the emergence of online lore and law, of events as major as the 2016 American election? How it's changed the face of humour both online and offline? How it's DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE (don't pretend "memes" had anywhere near as much energy before 4chan. Name me a pre-4chan Something Awful meme, other than All Your Base. I'll wait.) for the unchaining of Jung's Archetypes into their truer, more rapid, more dynamic and frighteningly snowballing form - Memes?

This also means 4chan invented an entirely new form of occultism - Meme Magic.

Isn't it funny how the "subconscious" of the internet, the melting pot of memes, the phraseology - weeaboo, trap, zoomer, tfw, mfw, "implying" - comes from fucking 4chan, how online discourse would be essentially completely different if Moot had never created it...

.... and yet it remains an in-the-margins boogeyman, a "bad word" of the internet? A word you can't speak? How many "tolerant spaces" have you seen online that have little rules or clauses about "4chan culture" or "referencing 4chan"?

haven't you noticed how even those of you who used to live there hover and hesitate over the boost button when someone posts a Pepe or a Wojak now? How your mind has to scan these memes for anything that might Alienate⢠your friends, because you know these characters - WHO SIMPLY REPRESENT DIONYSUS AND APOLLO, THE SHAMELESS HEDONIST VS THE TFW TOO INTELLIGENT - have been arbitrarily designated Bad Guys�
