I think Igel's new internet kicked in, cause jpop suddenly dropped. Well, he did say it was supposed to be on the 5th.

Epstein managed to destroy the lives of who knows how many children, but the idea that parents can manipulate, indoctrinate and abuse children for political propaganda is somehow inconceivable.

I hate the world. But what I think I hate the most are people who are blindly optimistic, that prefer to see things in a positive light and refuse to see the really ugly shit that is happening right in front of them.

To these people, it won't matter what you say, what evidence you bring, they're already convinced that things are fine.

Or rather, I think it's the logging in that's the problem. Not sure what could have happened all of a sudden.

>babysitting
Makes perfect sense.
>dog sitting
A bit weirder, but I can still understand. You love your pet and don't want him locked up in a stressful kennel somewhere while you're on vacation.
>house sitting
Why?! Is your house gonna suffer if it's empty for a week? Does your house need to be taken out for a walk?
You americans are weird.

Reminder that Google can't keep an experimental service (even a good one) going for more than a couple of years.
Don't be a moron. Don't buy games on Stadia.

Hot take: abortion is a form of plastic surgery.
Change my mind.

Apparently you can really recharge alkaline batteries. Got 2 AA Varta batteries from about 0.9-0.95V to 1.4-1.5V by using a standard Ni-Mh trickle charger in about 3 hours.
Gonna test to see how well they keep their charge, but even if they're only half as good as new batteries, that's still impressive.

Out of all the things I like about Linux, my favorite is probably how fast it shuts down.

It's basically instant. Faster than my mobile phone.

Here's something I don't get. Since our planet's albedo, or how much of the Sun's light and heat it reflects back into space, is so important, and we're so concerned about melting ice because it reduces this albedo and heats up the planet more, why don't we paint building roofs white?

The solution described in this article is interesting too, but it involves tempering with the natural environment. Why not instead change the already existing artificial environment humans created, and increase the albedo of it?

I imagine making streets white might not be possible and it would be massively inconvenient to have a lot of sunlight reflect into our eyes while driving. But what if we made roofs white, so that buildings would reflect more of the sunlight, instead of absorbing it and heating up the environment? Of course, ideally we'd have solar panels on roofs, harvesting that solar energy.

Unpopular opinion:
The WAN Show is better as an audio podcast then a Youtube stream.

@matrix just noticed you implemented a block report bot. Now I'm wondering if I was really blocked by 6 people in the last 8 hours, or are these just old blocks that are showing up with delays because you just turned on the bot?

I think I realized why I hate battle royale games. The thing is, it's not the games themselves I have the biggest problem with. It's with the players who think they're some big shots over winning a few matches.

These games are designed to be noob and casual cancer. If you want to gain my respect, be the last one standing in Counter-Strike, Quake, Unreal Tournament. Actual competitive shooters. But the people becoming famous over Fortnite probably never touched CS 1.6 even.

Keep playing whatever you want, but stop pretending it's some big deal. You might as well be playing Solitaire competitively.
