Imagine you were an idiot. Oh wait, I forgot... you don't need to imagine... you have first hand knowledge.

The biggest problem/threat for free, uncensored social media (and the internet in general) will always be clear and blatant violations of the law, such as people posting CP. Currently big tech is allowed to judge these posts on their own as inappropriate and remove them. But we want to stop this behavior, where social media judges the content of our posts. So what can we do to have our cake and also get rid of CP?

In the past, I have proposed that social media should remove posts containing harassment, threats of violence etc. only if the person reporting them had proof from a court of law that declared said post as illegal. Or at the very least the one reporting should present evidence that they also have reported it to the police.

But this wouldn't work well enough when it comes to CP and potentially other crimes. My suggestion is, for a very narrow number of crimes, allow the platform itself to report the potential criminal posts/accounts to the relevant authorities, and only afterwards hide said posts or suspend the account, with permanent deletion taking place only after the person is found guilty.

This is kinda how I feel right now. Maybe my introverted ass got overstimulated or something, but I feel like screaming to the world "LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" and then just shutting down. I'm somewhere between highly annoyed/angry and depressed, and I just don't want to deal with anything or anyone IRL.

It seems the longer I stay away from Windows, the more I hate it whenever I need to work on it.

TFW you still find use in a bootable Ubuntu 11.10 x86 CD. This fucking OS install disc is almost a decade old, and I still use it every once in a while to troubleshoot someone's system.

I wonder... will 2021 be our savior year, or is it all just a trap?

New Years resolution for 2021:
I want to travel more than 2000km by bike. I've managed to do 1500km last year, so it should be achievable.

Happy New Year!

This is a short taste of what I'm officially naming "fireworks democracy". What you're seeing is a city wide show made by the people for the people. Unlike other years, the local government didn't organize anything this time around. And restaurants had their hands tied, so I highly doubt they invested money in a show when they had no clientele.

This started up about 10 minutes before midnight, and lasted for another 10 after.
