Had a dream were I was playing Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit (1998), but I discover someone had managed to patch screen recording functions into it. Didn't look at what video codecs it could do, but on the audio side it could record in opus at some insanely high bitrates.

How the F are anime rips always on the cutting edge of codecs? I just noticed a show I'm watching is encoded in AV1... it's not even a brand new show. It aired in 2008. Someone just decided to reencode it.
