What type of anti-woke are you?
(let's re-create this great poll on Fedi)

Vital signs critical! Warning! User death imminent!

I should have this written on my tombstone.

Silly dream for a silly day

So I dreamed that a Serbian military airplane invaded my country's airspace, and it was all up on the news.
Concerns that we were being attacked, confusion, all that. So we tried to tried to send our own plane, to get close and establish radio contact, and figure out what was up. It took a while, both planes were shitty old Soviet models, so not very fast or maneuverable, but they eventually got close enough together for our pilot to ask "what's up, you invaded our airspace".
The response we got from the Serbian pilot: "I know, I'm just trolling you guys. Bye!". And then he turned around and flew away.

If you're Serbian, a military pilot, or especially both of these, please don't do this.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. We don't know what has happened, but all possibilities are open and we are in contact with NATO. This is nearing 7 hours after the complete outage. If it was something technical they would know immediately
stallman cultists only push people away
they never convince anyone that free software is good

I showed you my country wide power outage. Please respond.

Well... if our power grid drops out due to "extreme temperature variations", I have my ebook reader charged, I have a good amount of AA and AAA batteries, I have an old MP3 player ready (the kind that runs with AAA batteries), a simple portable radio, a few roms loaded in my phone's Retroarch, and a bluetooth gamepad that has a surprisingly long battery life.

I'm fairly confident I'm not at risk of getting bored. Though I can't rely that much on gaming on my phone. Still, it would hold longer than a laptop. And I could probably charge it a few times over from my laptop and power bank.

Man... was I ever lucky watching the vod just in time. Also, fuck Sony so fucking hard.

@SuperDicq >Normies using Linux on top of proprietary operating systems does not help us with anything.
and neither is nagging on them to use some super esoteric setup gonna do anything, if they want to use the easy stuff they are gonna use the easy stuff, me personally, i just pick what works, because i recognise and work on my moral failings that are all substantially higher on the list than "using software with a restrictive license", i avoid google like the plague and remove the stuff i don't like, but i don't lose hairs about it, and neither does anybody else, i know there is some level of google nonsense i have to deal with, and it's whatever, i removed most of the problem, 80% of the problem gone with 20% of the effort.

>Android for example has made Linux into one of the most widely used kernels in the world.

>Has this brought us any advancements in terms of software freedom?

no but it makes a mid operating system (not that i thing smartphones are an invention that brought much "pros" to my life) yeah there is proprietary parts to the whole operating system, but it is an "operating system", it doesn't need to be fully free, just mostly free as to get the benefits a person has when using free software.

but the question here is, how does people start using an operating system that is more free, rather than all proprietary, harm the free software movement? it would get more support, and more people would be knowledgeable.

and then the question is? is the problem here that it is harmful to free software movements? or is the problem that pewdiepie failed to properly portray free software, and the movement? thus getting people into a sort of uneducated expectation?
Pewdiepie advised a lot of people to get into Linux and Fosstards still are ungrateful for it.
you need to understand, those people don't want some thinkpad librebooted device with fully free graphics drivers, they just want to use something easy to pick up and better, Linux is now easy to use, minimal drawbacks for a lot of people and some, just straight up none.
to everyone their idea of linux is the practical considerations, less nagging and garbage on the screen, smoother, and more privacy are the benefits they are looking for, they couldn't really give any less of a shit about software ethics, let alone software copyright ethics.

and the "Gnu/Linux" and "Free software" language police is pretty dumb too, the point of language is to convey an idea, i understand autism drives you to care about all this stuff, but you end up making people think you are stupid, because why WOULD they care about specific language, they just don't wanna get raped in the ass by MS that's all there is to it.

So is it gonna be that Monster Hunter and Oblivion Remaster will be the best games of the year?

I just realized that people who are old enough to vote might have no idea who Steve Irwin is... damn...
