Sometimes a person makes a statement so absurd, so patently moronic and just wrong that no argument is needed.
The idea that China is “freer” and “less totalitarian” than the US is such a statement. Get back to me when the CCP isn’t the only choice of “leader”, or they’ve stopped genociding their own people, or merely reminding people that Xi looks like Pooh and that Taiwan is its own country doesn’t get you put in jail or outright disappeared.
And while I’m at it. Taiwan is its own country and to think otherwise is just delusional.
