@ArdanianRight @matrix @heidegger14 @bungabeats Power has a tendency to centralise whatever you do. Look at the 80/20 rule and the fact that power lets you shape things so you have more of it.
The best thing you can really do is have someone in charge that has your interests at heart.
Democracy has an inherently bad selection process that favours corruption, shortsightedness, and lets you blame problems on someone else instead of there being a clear person in charge who has responsibility.
If you have a monarch, the worst he can do is be another politician, the best thing he can do is have your actual interests at heart, and if he does, genetic descent means his son probably will too.
