Reminder that government regulations on crypto do jack shit in the long run. If you use it as actually intended (have an actual hardware wallet, buy/sell from individuals), you don't have to deal with that bullshit.

@xianc78 If companies are mandated (or just don't anyway like most now) let you buy stuff with crypto, then you always need to convert it to whatever form they allow, and that they can block

I don't really think it's viable to pay for internet or rent in cash you exchanged with some guy for monero at a bus stop

Or, you know, companies can willingly or by mandate just not do business with you, or you can just be arrested, or the government can just turn off the internet and this "money" stops existing

There really isn't any running away from the fact that the guy who has the gun is in control. If you want to fix it, get a bigger gun than him and shoot him

@applejack Well, for people setting up counter-economies, it's still useful, at least for now. I still think people should at least diversify and consider other forms of money like precious metals.

We need alternatives because once the US dollar collapses, it's most likely going to be replaced with a CBDC.
