@beardalaxy @irie I mean, the media people consume obviously has an effect on the people that view it. It's honestly been the main driver of change in the last hundred years
@beardalaxy @irie I don't think you get what I mean
Nobody actually thinks that loli involves real kids (outside of some tracing that sometimes happens). It's a strawman for ironics. When people say loli is CP they mean it's porn depicting children, which it is, like your pics depict a woman, saying it's not is semantics at best. There's no trouble distinguishing reality from fiction, that's a cope
We didn't evolve for mass media. We evolved where we were basically surrounded by our group and we took what they thought and felt as our own, it was dangerous if we didn't
Repeat something via media often enough and people can believe even the most insane shit passively. That's the entire basis for the modern world. Even completely contradictory shit
Stereotypes are bad and fake but trannies need to live stereotypes to be fulfilled. Evolution is real but it doesn't apply to the human brain. We are the resistance but every western government and NGO agrees with us
People adapt to what they're exposed to. If you fap to drawings of sexy LGs you'll probably find LGs more sexy, even if it's all subconscious, even if you try and consciously compensate for it
The loli - toddler - 3d loli - 3d toddler - rl pipeline is real.
@Kagekokoro @irie @applejack i like your nagatoro padoru
@applejack @irie idk man i just think it's a false equivalency to say that loli *is* CP. loli depicts children (or sometimes just petite/childlike women) but it isn't ACTUALLY CHILDREN. therefore it is not child pornography (and you can say the same thing with video game violence or pretend animals beating the shit out of each other so that their owner can get prize money). i don't really get what's so hard to understand about that, but i think everyone likes to sensationalize things that they don't like and turn it into something that they can show off to their peers so that they'll see what a great person they are. and that's where fiction affecting someone's reality comes in.
people can talk all they want about pipelines and slippery slopes or whether or not people who like loli are all actually pedophiles or will all actually commit crimes against humanity, idgaf tbh. the point is that there are people out here calling loli CP and i think that diminishes what CP actually is just as much as someone saying they were sexually harassed when their coworker called them pretty diminishes actual sexual abuse.
if i were victim to child pornography that was distributed en masse i would be pretty upset at people focusing so heavily on loli and calling it CP, especially because i know for a fact that there are a lot of people who were sexually/emotionally abused as children that use loli/shota as an outlet and that can actually be done healthily instead of perpetuating a cycle of abuse.
and, a slight tangent/rant:
i also think that a lot of this talk and berating of people who enjoy loli is toxic because for some people it can become self actualizing. if you tell someone something long enough they'll start to believe you. what's the point in not just jumping to the real thing if lolicons and pedos and child rapists are all one in the same to the people who use these terms whilly nilly and want to throw all of them in the wood chipper just the same?
and maybe if people were able to have a bit of rationale they would be more keen on actually recognizing the difference, but the most sympathy you'll ever get out of someone is that you should go to therapy, because they also have a room temperature IQ when it comes to therapy and they think it can actually "fix" people. the ones who don't think that just go back to the wood chipper.
in actuality, therapy is just someone sitting there while you talk to them and they ask questions that will help you sort out your own thoughts. not like those thoughts are gonna' go away any time soon, but there is the potential for them to be easier to deal with in relation to how you treat yourself and how you treat others.
when people tell me to go to therapy for any reason i always chuckle to myself and think, what, so that they can tell me i'm fine and wonder why i'm there? i'm not hurting anyone, i'm not hurting myself, there's no dysfunction in my life, and i'm generally happy (which is much more than i can say about how my life was <2016). so to have someone say i deserve the electric chair or that i'm consuming child pornography or something, to me shows a lack of comprehension and/or moral grandstanding for social credit. or, what happens way too often to be insignificant, when people say that kind of shit and then they're the ones who ACTUALLY are grooming children or are caught with CP or whatever. it just gets old and annoying. but so does justin roiland doing the same voice for everything and the masses still eat that shit up so i guess i can't be too surprised... i'm just airing out my grievances.
@beardalaxy @irie > idgaf tbh. the point is that there are people out here calling loli CP and i think that diminishes what CP actually is
That's fine, but when you talk about people not being able to discern reality from fiction it's dishonest. Disclose calling it CP instead of loli intentionally gives people the wrong idea and that's way more dishonest
> what's the point in not just jumping to the real thing if lolicons and pedos and child rapists are all one in the same
That's also part of my point. Rapists and pedophiles are not the same thing but liking sexy drawings of kids is pedophilic. It doesn't mean you're necessarily a pedophile, it's more complicated, but denying it and instead trying to focus on ficton vs. reality doesn't make any sense and can't actually convince people who don't already agree with you because it's so obviously wrong
Instead talk about how liking something doesn't make you a rapist. The case for it is better. People who like MILF hentai aren't all mother-rapists
> but the most sympathy you'll ever get out of someone is that you should go to therapy
People don't sympathise any more if you tell them it's fiction, they already know it is. At least give them a convincing point why it's not bad
Therapy doesn't work and it doesn't need to be treated because there's nothing wrong. Even the DSM-5 says that when it doesn't cause problems or distress it's an orientation that doesn't need to be treated
> when people say that kind of shit and then they're the ones who ACTUALLY are grooming children or are caught with CP or whatever
Saying "actually it's the people who aren't attracted to drawings of kids are the REAL PEDOPHILES" doesn't work either or even make sense. It's like saying that homophobes are secret gays thing or that the left are the real racists. When it happens you talk about it, when it doesn't happen you don't talk about it, when a counter-example happens you don't talk about it. For every random anti on twitter that got arrested for something dumb there's 10 japanese doujin artists or cases of loli being found with actual CP
@applejack @irie i'm gonna sleep but as far as the whole thing goes i think we're mostly on the same page anyway i'm just dog shit at explaining my point on anything to anyone so whatevs haha
@beardalaxy @irie Aight, fair enough. Good night, friend
@applejack @irie there are a lot of people, especially these days i feel, that are so engrossed in their fiction that it becomes their reality and they aren't able to discern between the two as much. this has been a thing as long as i've been alive, it's just taken on various forms from different groups of people. religious groups thinking pokemon was from the devil, boomer conservatives thinking video games were the cause of violence in children, liberal women complaining about feminine proportions and "realism" in art and video games, and of course a lot of people thinking that loli equates to CP which is honestly the most disgusting out of all these imo. i'm of the opinion that saying art is CP diminishes the degeneracy of CP. it's not fair to the kids who have actually been a target of that stuff and just abuse in general.
there is merit to the "touch grass" meme for this reason. people get lost in fantasy and idealism so much that they lose touch with reality and become sociopaths.
