Supporting HP devices is almost a humiliation ritual. They always find a way to question ones technical abilities and sanity.

@phnt My favorite boomer trope is you can tell them one thing, you can make the best argument possible for why you should do this, and because you're a young little shit or something it will go in one ear and out the other (boomers know best).

Then they're calling you to fix the piece of shit you told them not to buy, because boomers love to kick the can down the road with computer problems.

Or when you instruct them with detail how to do something and they do it their way and wonder why you complained because they did it for you.

@sendpaws @phnt Another painful one is where they actively fight you when they requested your help in the fist place

>dad has a FireWire external HDD he needs me to get stuff off of
>yelling asking why I have to use a 24-year-old iBook instead of just plug it in to my big gaymer computer, despite me telling him this is the only thing we own with this special port
>”Do you even know what you're doing?" as it takes all afternoon to put the data on a USB drive at USB1.1 speed

@arc @sendpaws @phnt firewire? havent heard that name since middle school.
