@sendpaws From what I understand Billy Mitchell set a lot of his records on emulators, which would make it much easier for him to get away with potentially cheating, and which per the existing rules renders those records invalid. So he wasn't exactly caught cheating, but it seems more likely than not that he did cheat, and there was no way his records would remain on the leaderboard given the circumstances.

@sendpaws @ChristiJunior Yeah tons of games allow emulators. Like one of the best SMB record holders plays on a keyboard even. Doom has a bajillion source ports made for speedrunning, it’s not realistic to have everyone get an old machine to speedrun on DOS or something.
People harp on him technically going against Twin Galaxies’ gay rules, and everyone hates TG anyway. IMO the only thing he’s guilty of is denying it was an emulator. He has the skill. It’s like when they caught Barry Bonds in the perjury trap.
