@Forestofenchantment Nintendo was kikes and made a custom chip inside the cable or some shit and nobody cared about progressive scan in 2001 so nobody bought the cable back then

@arc @Forestofenchantment yeah the problem with the cube and 480p/digital is that they cheaped out and implemented the chip inside the cable itself instead of as pins in the AV out port. Which wasn't the first time Nintendo would pull this stunt; as the N64 also notoriously isn't wired for RGB either.
