My maternal grandmother's parents came over from Germany, I still know fuck all about German culture. It's been long enough that White American has become it's own ethnicity.

@Morghur @teto @skylar @Goalkeeper Yeah my family in 1890 basically got off the boat from Italy and immediately stopped speaking Italian, all they kept is pasta. Feels sucky now that America is becoming Super Mexico and it's like, well, I don't really have a heritage or lineage to fall back on when the tide turns.
