@becassine it's funny because as a guy with normally pretty curly hair, people were shocked when I relaxed it because it went from 1 → 1.5x

@Turdicus yes but no, when you get a perm, the hairstylist puts it in tight rollers, the perm salt breaks the fibres down to give it that curl. When you get it relaxed, they just don't use a roller. So it's just as bad. @becassine

@Turdicus a lot of salons have stopped doing both because the chemicals are hazardous and it's also *really bad* for your hair. They're better off just borrowing a curling iron or smth. @becassine

@becassine harsh — also because I liked having long hair, I haven't cut my hair since grade 5. When it's really curly it's annoying, when I got it relaxed it loosened and was more manageable.
