@ArdainianRight @Terry @duke most of the stuff Youtubers shill has some sort of catch to it. Remember Better Help? Haven't seen that in a while, that's because the service actually sucks ass and preys on the mentally/emotionally disturbed.

@ArdainianRight @Terry @duke the only good ones are sponsors that have something to do with the content of the video itself, for instance maybe a D&D YouTuber being sponsored by a homebrew book, or someone making a teardown video being sponsored by ifixit, or hell, even people being sent products to review them is better than a random meme video with a VPN sponsorship.

The only widespread one I've seen that seems actually kind of cool is Hello Fresh. It would definitely be cheaper to go to the store and buy all of it yourself, but you're really just paying for convenience both in time spent shopping and time spent figuring out what to make and with what ingredients you need to make it with. Seems pretty straightforward to me, you're not really getting stuck in an addicting gameplay loop or being promised fake "privacy," you're actually getting food that you have to make yourself. I guess the only problem would be if the food just tastes like dick.

@beardalaxy @ArdainianRight @Terry

HelloFresh and the like are actually a compelling proposition if your time is valuable enough to justify it. A matter of opportunity cost really.

@duke @ArdainianRight @Terry then you get someone like me who takes an abhorrently long time to eat so I don't even want to spend time making anything that will take more than 5 minutes xD
