with me playing a lot of valve games recently i've been looking at a lot of videos for half life and such, so youtube has been recommending me a lot of videos relating to that.
god damn man i have left more dislikes on these half life videos than i have since i was a 13 year old cringelord and disliked all of justin bieber's videos.
videos where people flat out say they haven't played games or maps but say they're bad, people reviewing maps and then just glossing over sections of them entirely, people speaking so sloppily i can't understand what they're saying even though i know it's english, and people just expecting you to know what some mechanic is or how it works so it makes the rest of the video make no sense without already knowing.
@fluffy they're still there, it's just only the creator that can see them. which is funny considering they made them invisible so that it wouldn't affect creator's mental health or some stupid bullshit like that. really it was a move to silence people being upset with political administrations and youtube's shitty decisions.
but there's a 3rd party database of dislikes with a browser extension called "return youtube dislike." they downloaded a fuck load of dislikes already on the platform and then when people dislike a video and they're using the extension it'll add it to that database so everyone else sees it as well. nice little workaround.
