I don't understand the appeal of tomboys.
@PonyPanda root appeal: tomboys are young. It's a nostalgic and unique mode of girl behavior that falls away as they get older and start gaining evil skills.
hanger-on appeal: they're fit. They're not fat. It's easier to say "I like tomboys" than "fat people aren't attractive" in polite company.
fetish appeal: muscles, overpowered Marvel Universe women.
