ah yes, being opposed to something immediately means you are defending the other thing. i don't like the fact that incredibly vulnerable people are being groomed into being trans because it fucks people up but screeching about it this hard only makes you look like a lunatic to the average person, just on the other side of the coin. once it gets to harassing individuals i'm just not a fan, especially because it just draws more attention to it and will inevitably backfire. kiwifarms' actions have made keffals not only rich but more powerful in his respective community. he'll now have more sway over other vulnerable people.

if people really want to make a change, it's better to set a good example and provide a better space for others. someone, especially a vulnerable person like a child or an autist, forming their political/societal opinions and persona isn't going to jump toward the group that is ripping people to shreds and acting unhinged. they'll go with the ones who are preaching about love or whatever, even if it's false, it seems true on the surface. some people will eventually come to a moment of self-realization and get the fuck out of there, but a lot get brainwashed. the key is to get to people before that has a chance of happening, not brutally attack the ones who it has already happened to, because that only strengthens their resolve and makes them believe they are just for their actions, and it brings more people to sympathize with them.

this kind of shit is essentially tossing fuel on the fire. it's really just not worth it.

in turn, the opposite of what i said is true too. people get mad at this guy for pulling this stunt and even though his game is off steam now, you can bet your ass people actually know about his game and would be willing to pay him for it on a different platform.

they're giving power to the guy by banning him and he's giving power to them by being a person they can point at and say "look, that's how these kind of people are, they're wrong and we're right and we don't attack people who are just trying to live their lives." it's all stupid culture war bullshit.

@MK2boogaloo @CenturianFrend @theTDC what it all boils down to is "by their deeds you shall know them." not just in what you say, but in what you do. you can have the moral high ground, but if you just sit there and act like you're better than everyone else or even stomp your boot down on people you feel you are morally superior to, nobody will think you actually are a moral person or a good example to follow, no matter how virtuous your ideas are.

it isn't enough to just be morally correct, you have to be actively showing people that you are someone they can look up to. you actually have to treat people as if they were children, if you were a father you wouldn't harass your child if you wanted them to look up to you and be able to confide in you. they are children, of course they do not have the experience you do, of course they don't really understand, but trying to clamp down on them instead of having mutual respect will push them in the opposite direction every time.

@Tactical @CenturianFrend @theTDC causing suffering usually just leads to more suffering. case in point, trying to make keffals suffer now causes josh strife (sure he can handle it but it's gotta suck), keffals gets a bigger fan base and people who feel sorry, keffals now has more sway and can manipulate vulnerable people easier which will inevitably cause them suffering.

nobody would ever even fucking know who this tranny was if it weren't for KF. that goes for every lolcow, too. that's why i'm saying the better option is to just be on your toes, try to be an example to young men and women who are having trouble navigating this shit storm of a world because it ain't easy. if kids had better guidance we'd have a much better situation right now but all our parents utterly failed us so the evil people keep snatching all of the broken people up.

@Sprayfoam_Sal @theTDC @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @lichelordgodfrey just to be clear i'm not some fence sitter, it's not like i either have to side with nutjobs on one side or nutjobs on the other side. there's grass on each side of the fence and then a river beyond that. i'm not someone who just wants to do nothing and let bygones be bygones.

i'm just saying there's a better way to get people on your side than relentlessly shitting on others. i'm not going to walk into a coffee shop and yell at a bunch of teenagers that they're faggots and hope that one of them is like "oh yeah, i am a faggot, maybe i should stop being a faggot." fuck no, i'm going to sit in there like a normal human being, make some friends, and if someone wants to talk about stuff we can politely talk about stuff. heck, maybe even a viewpoint i have gets changed a little bit in the process, maybe i learn something about a person i didn't know before that helps me understand their way of thinking and how i can hope to help them. my personality doesn't stop and start at a political compass coordinate and when people know you're not a bad person they're going to be way more conflicted when they hear what you have to say about something they don't agree with. and you guys can say "that never happens" all you want but it's happened to me personally quite often. if you think it never happens you're not trying. it never happens on the internet because nobody gets to know each other and they just hurl insults and assume they know everything about a person so that they can feel better about themselves... but it does happen IRL if you don't walk around yelling at people like you do online.
