@BullSchmitt @TurboNormie i remember right-wing people getting upset that cyberpunk 2077 had trans people in it or something like that, and i tried to explain that the whole point of trans people being in the genre was to show the breakdown of society and humanity, but nobody wanted to hear it.
@Giga_Vril_Breaker @BullSchmitt @TurboNormie lol no this isn't the same as cuties whatsoever, thinking it is is absolutely tone deaf. child exploitation bad, so we'll exploit actual children to show it VS technology has gone too far and these are the repercussions if it continues (fiction btw). they are completely different things.
your example of a rape scene is particularly weird, if you're supposed to feel like the black people are terrible, then having them rape a white woman is the perfect way to do that. since it isn't real, you're not endorsing it, you're bringing it to the forefront. it doesn't even have to necessarily be a direct message to the player, it can just be something to think about juxtaposed with everything else (which is how cyberpunk does it, generally speaking).
but this is the exact shit i had to keep telling everyone else, there seems to just be a fundamental misunderstanding here.
If any wignat does the clockwork orange treatment of the subject matter "black on white rape", they're absolutely dead to me. You don't get it. You don't depict evil, ugliness, rot, in a visceral manner, lest you invite the demons that dwell within.
