It was ok. Overrated though. I don't see the obsession here.
Didn't really have the impact on me I think it was supposed too.
Yay she made it to the moon, but I never really found Lucy that interesting so I didn't really care.

@shebang it was made by a japanese studio, there was an english dub for it probably done by netflix i'm assuming.
unfortunately, it didn't get an actual subtitle translation from japanese to english, just the dubtitles. i don't speak japanese and even i could tell that it was off in a few places :P
i just kind of found a lot of the characters pretty retarded, which made everything unsatisfying. it was like the anime was bleak for the purpose of being bleak rather than trying to actually make sense WHILE being bleak. last of us 2 has a similar problem.
i wish that it had just been longer so the characters had more time to talk with each other about all the events that happened, and i think that would have made me like a lot of the characters more and it probably would have made the story go in a different direction too.
