so from talking with my roommate who REALLY liked edgerunners, it seems to me like his whole notion of what cyberpunk/night city is comes from edgerunners' explanation of it itself since he hadn't played the game (and hasn't watched much cyberpunk-themed stuff in general), and he also read into the story a lot more than what was on paper. which isn't to say he's wrong for liking it or anything, i just found that kind of interesting.

my other roommate who has played cp2077 and watched edgerunners, like me, sits somewhere in the middle of liking it and not liking it. he said it was "interesting" lol.

i don't really HATE the show either, i just don't like the plot or most of the characters. the music, artwork, action, and the way they got all the locations from the game like SPOT ON is pretty awesome.
