Am I overthinking a children’s book or should I be suspicious of a drawing of two animals with no gender identifying traits (in other words it’s not clearly a male and female, it could be anything) but different “skin” color kissing in front of a rainbow? Bear in mind children’s books and toys have been using rainbows for forever because kids like colors so rainbow in this case can’t be said to be 100% certain to be gay.

Illustrator seems to be Swedish, for whatever that’s worth.
