33GB used since yesterday
need to get it down under 11GB per day to stay within the remaining 200GB or we'd exceed it by 400GB and be penalized $80
1229GB is only good for 40GB per day, and these days it is apparently not hard for an ordinary family to use it all up with ordinary use. working from home and all that. data caps suck.
@lamp data caps suck ass. kind of ridiculous that my entire internet plan doesn't even cost $80 and i have no data cap whatsoever.
most of the data being used is probably streaming HD video. with my phone, i always watch in 360p when i'm on data because it's such a small screen that HD video doesn't matter (it's better on the battery too). maybe try decreasing the resolution at which you watch videos unless it's absolutely necessary to view it in 1080p60fps and beyond.
RIP call of duty players though, they have like 1/10 of this taken up by just one game update.
@beardalaxy im probably gonna have to limit the connection to 5mbps or something low enough to make youtube etc choose lower qualities.
@lamp the neighbor uses your internet? Well there is your problem xD can't you set up a second access point and just limit that one?
@beardalaxy he's on a vlan, i could apply whatever limits i wanted to whatever, but most of the usage is ours.
@beardalaxy that would require bothering to access everyone's devices... including the neighbor lol
