@opal @Arkana @coolboymew i don't understand this whole "americans keep their shoes on in the house" meme. the only time i've ever seen anyone do that is my roommate but i think he just legitimately forgets he's wearing them. the only other exception is for parties so that you don't have a huge amount of shoes all piled up at the front door (and you will usually go outside at some point anyway).

@Arkana @opal @coolboymew it's probably because a lot of americans have way too many shoes; keeping them all at the door would be fucked up.
i have 4 pair and they're all at the door, because we have a shoe rack. one of my roommates has like 7 or 8 pair though and only wears 1 of them on the reg so those ones stay by the door.
