@RehnSturm256 Zero Mission ending art Samus is easily the best look she's ever had, truth be told. I think people have been soured on it because they don't like the Zero Suit being her default, usually only out of suit appearance in future games, and I agree that's annoying, but they really nailed her look in the game itself. the Zero Suit also looked much better in the illustrations featured in this game than any 3D render has been able to capture since.
I agree that she looks too meek in Smash Bros and Other M but on the other hand I also think 6'3 doesn't seem to reflect any appearance she's actually had in the games. If it's taking heels and perhaps whatever height is added by the suit in account like I've seen some people theorize (assuming the figure is even accepted by Sakamoto who seems to have had the final say in Samus' appearance for decades now) I could buy that.
Anyway the ideal Samus is very feminine and beautiful while also being athletic and strong without any of the uggofication or butchness that some westerners seem determined to project onto her.

@LittleTom @RehnSturm256 nintendo has a lot of tall girls in their games actually. daisy/peach are around 5'11"/6'0" because they are more or less "human" but samus/bayonetta/rosalina aren't really. samus has alien DNA, bayonetta is some sort of dimensional rift witch, and rosalina is a celestial being. the only real outlier is pauline, who, despite being a human, is still several inches taller than peach. maybe 6 inches or so.
@beardalaxy @RehnSturm256 Is the Daisy and Peach thing calculating their height relative to Mario (who is apparently supposed to be 5'1")? IMO there's no way Peach and Daisy are actually supposed to be nearly 6 feet (remember that they are dainty princesses made by Japanese dudes, 6 foot tall princess peach would be a giant to them) and it's more likely that the hyper cartoony art style exaggerates the difference in height between the characters to make Mario seem much shorter than he is.

the "official height" thing comes from a statue that nintendo made of mario that said it was 1:1 and it was 5'1" :)
@beardalaxy @RehnSturm256 Yeah I mean either way Peach is supposed to be way taller than Mario and Rosalina even more so.
@LittleTom @RehnSturm256 also just because the game's made by japanese dudes doesn't mean the characters have to fit japanese height averages. they're trying to make these italian plumbers and white princesses from magical lands accessed by warp pipes. some guys are into giant women anyway ;)
