@ROYALTY i've known most of them since high school and one of them i've been friends with for 20 years. the dudes know me inside and out. it's been a running joke for like 10 years. to the point where, during a D&D campaign, the DM kept trying to get me to hook up with "hot" halflings xD
i think the key is to just act like a normal, decent human being that happens to like loli shit, or furry shit, or whatever it may be. if you have actual redeeming qualities then people will like you. not saying you don't, just saying that it's how i got good friends. they know i won't do any stupid shit because they know me as a good guy, you know?
i always hated bronies because it seems like that's the first thing you would know about someone if they were a brony. in all actuality i never gave a fuck if people liked watching mlp, but the fact that they had to be so outspoken about it that it's the first thing you knew about them was just annoying. like that was their whole personality and their life revolved around it. i feel that way about a lot of lgbt people too.
too many people demand acceptance and when they don't get it think they are being targeted for what makes them different but the truth is that they are just annoying whiners that seek validation and attention because they hate themselves. when you hate yourself, other people will too.
but yeah it is nice, i've got nagatoro and gawr gura stuff all over, and a flandre figure, some loli stickers on my laptop. i can show my roommates loli memes and have a good laugh about them. it's just a small piece of who i am, not the whole thing, so people IRL are cool with me because it's usually the last thing they ever find out anyway and even if they don't like that, i've got a lot of other stuff to like about me :)
@ROYALTY also, naturally, living with people and knowing them for so long, you start to rub off on each other heheheheheh
