Never flashed a BIOS before, turns out you need an older CPU to do it lmao. Learning new shit every day. What a pain in the ass.
@charliebrownau yeah the cheapest one I could find that would actually work is $80 right now, so we just decided to grab a last gen that would work since someone else we know is buying that one soon so we'll just have them buy it from us instead.
@beardalaxy some gigabyte boards can do it with no cpu or ram installed off a usb stick, it's called q flash plus.. The board has some kind of real basic firmware to do it and only needs power (you have to do it before installing cpu or ram)

@beardalaxy Its why its handy to buy a celeron CPU for various mobo series
20-40 bucks and you have a chip to flash various bios's
