@CentaurBreeder @professionalbigot69 clarification: my mental illness is untreated because the "treatment" only made it worse and just figuring things out myself has done a lot more for me. Fuck meds and therapists.
Bitches would rather have a downtrodden man in therapy than a content man with a couple screws loose. If you need therapy, that's more of a red flag imo. Got some shit to work out before getting in a relationship.

you poor soul. sounds like there "Treatments" never fucking work.

>Fuck meds and therapists.

unbelievably true.

>Bitches would rather have a downtrodden man in therapy than a content man with a couple screws loose.

women are too trusting of these easy solutions. instead of taking the required time to work on themselves. they want something that promises instant gratification. this is why meds are so alluring, they think "I can just take this pill and be happy? why not then" but they never think of what comes after taking the pill. its not just women but its a majority of women who face this problem.

>If you need therapy, that's more of a red flag imo.

very true. therapy often doesnt work. it will only work for people who force themselves to believe it will.

>Got some shit to work out before getting in a relationship.

you'll get there man. just keep up the good work

@CentaurBreeder @professionalbigot69 with that last bit I was more referring to people that are in therapy, they probably shouldn't get in a relationship until they don't need it anymore. But of course, therapy/meds aren't necessarily designed to make you better, just to trick yourself into thinking you are, even though you're still dependant on someone or a substance. That can work for some people to spring off of, but in my experience that's not typical.

@CentaurBreeder @professionalbigot69 and my whole thing with therapy is that rather than tricking myself into thinking it will work, why not spend that willpower on just getting better on my own terms? Focus it somewhere else instead of trusting some dude or chick to do it for me. I think therapy should mainly focus on people becoming self sufficient. It's like how a lot "learning" is being taught what to think, not how to think.

Stuff like meds should only be used in extreme circumstances and are waaaaaay over prescribed. My best friend is actually a pharmacist and was telling me the other day he kind of hates that he took the classes, in a way, because he knows now how the medical field and big pharma work and he hates it. In school they are taught to diagnose, recommend lifestyle changes, and then prescribe medicine, but most doctors skip the middle part entirely or prescribe at the same time.

I agree with all of this. but therapy was never made to help people. its was made to correct peoples thinking in order for them to remain productive in society. they dont care for your well being, only to see you go and do something.

yes. all the time.

I am studying to become a pharmacist. its a awful thing they teach us. we arent helping anyone with mental issues. we can barely help people with actual medical issues.

yep. its a wonderful field to see how corrupt its become. all of what your friend is saying is 100% true and accurate

@CentaurBreeder do you know about nootropics? That's part of why he got into the profession, he wants to research those. He's also always been interested in supplements and diet stuff, and how the body and brain react to everything. It's pretty interesting, he's actually been able to tell me more about seizure stuff than any other physician or psychologist has.
