i don't get it, why are people bagging on the 4060 ti and the 4060 so much?

it's a card that costs the same as the previous generation did (and still does), performs a little bit better, and introduces new features.

if i needed a new gpu right now that's probably what i'd go for. seems decently priced, good amount of beef to it while being more efficient, and the addition of better video encoding support and frame gen (although that can still be a mixed bag for sure) is honestly a pretty good sell, in my mind.

thoughts?

watching the gamer's nexus video on it now and he is just coming across as pretty disingenuous and way too snarky about it imo

and of course everyone in the comments is just like "thank you steve for telling us the cold hard truth all the time!"

i don't know if everyone who watches this channel is some gamer bro who is playing all of their games at 4k or something so maybe the value of the card doesn't make much sense to them?

i saw a guy saying he could get a 3090 for $600 (press X to doubt) but even then, if you don't want that much graphics horsepower and would rather put $200 into something else in your PC, why would you go for a crazier card? one that's going to probably require you to buy a more powerful rig to even utilize, let alone needing a beefier power supply to even use?
