Daniel Micay steps down as GrapheneOS director and lead developer

"I've stepped down as lead developer of GrapheneOS and will be replaced as a GrapheneOS Foundation director. I'll be ending my use of public social media.
[...]
I won't have any leadership role in the GrapheneOS project. I plan on being entirely uninvolved but it'll take time to transfer everything that I do to other people."

i did not expect that guess louis situation was the last straw. i do hope he will seek help and some day return as a developer. it would be a shame to lose such a talented person.

@DarkMahesvara people doing crazy tech like this are always anti social as fuck

Follow

@berkberkman @DarkMahesvara that happens even if they're anti social because they're so desperate to fit in

@berkberkman @DarkMahesvara i only know of one of these dudes that didn't support current thing and he does now anyway

@berkberkman @DarkMahesvara actually scratch that, i know 2 more. one of them i work with and the other kind of fell off the face of the planet when he got confronted about it.

@beardalaxy @beardalaxy @DarkMahesvara I do feel a little sad for Micay, since he's done more than just GrapheneOS. I recall him calling it quits for Termite a while back.
@berkberkman @beardalaxy he also created the linux hardened kernel and hardened malloc. really cant be understated how much he influenced the security space. really hope he comes back when he gets better.
