Eating non-domesticated animals like wild birds is considered illegal in the United States. This includes varieties of wild birds such as pigeons, which are considered a migratory species and thereby protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Eating a pigeon or any other wild bird is prohibited under this law.
