@rasterman i think the running theory is that the divine beasts were decommissioned because the people were worried about them turning evil again. same with the guardians, who were stripped apart and repurposed for newer sheikah tech like the towers.

@rasterman the smol birds are left at home because the adults are all out hunting to keep them alive. with the cold being so bad it's been increasingly hard to get food.

@beardalaxy @beardalaxy @Rasterman what happened to the existing towers though?
And why didn't they address these obvious continuity topics explicitly in a 15 second cutscenes?

@Kagekokoro @rasterman because they're retarded

the story is honestly pretty shit when taken together with any other zelda game

@beardalaxy @beardalaxy @Rasterman
Yeah, and the lack of continuity is triggering
But the exploration is still enjoyable to me so it's ok
And the smol Gerudo princess :uoh:

@Kagekokoro @rasterman the game is really fucking good, the story is just the major weak point in terms of how it relates to not only BotW but also the rest of the series.

i also hate that items in the environment unload really quickly and don't persist between saves. definitely a switch problem...
