Oh, shid! I recognise this episode! It's the one I saw Pewdiepie watch clips of that lead me to start watching Kitchen Nightmares! I finally made it!

This one has this attractive owner, but she's stupid and her Mexican chef is incompetent. I'm just going from memory. I'm just starting the episode now. I never watched it in full, just a few clips of it but it sounds like it's gonna be a bad time for Ramsay.

"Charlie's", the "Italian" restaurant.

The owner, Tatiana, is already looking like a cunt: "I get blamed for getting my sister and mom to put their houses on the line for the restaurant. I didn't put a gun to their heads".

The owner used to work there as a waitress and now owns it because it was her dream to own the restaurant. The previous owner ran the restaurant into the ground and she took over and didn't change a thing.

Tatiana's mother put all her retirement savings into the restaurant, and Tatiana's sister put her house as collateral. Tatiana put $1,000 into the restaurant.

She tries to appear sympathetic, but Ramsay is already stating facts as they are presented and she finds herself portrayed as the uncaring villain, with her living expenses covered by the place, while the sister and mother get nothing.

Here's a scene that's about to go to hell immediately: Gordon is ordering. The waitress is warning him about the lasagna. Tatiana, the owner, is already pissed off at her own waitress. Ramsay tells the waitress to not spoil the surprise about the lasagna.

The sous chef: "I don't like any of the food". Also, she has to speak Spanish to chef Casimiro. Welp, that's an extra effort, but as long as his food is worth it, the language difference shouldn't be a problem!

The waitress, Genevieve, brings some raw ravioli that Ramsay doesn't seem to love. She starts explaining the different ways those ravioli are bad, and how they could have also been overcooked instead. Tatiana gets more pissed off at her. It's as if she's trying to justify to her sister that the waitress is wrong because she never heard that before Ramsay showed up.

Ramsay tells Genevieve to send those ravioli to Tatiana and ask her to try them. There were lots of funny frames of her disgusted visage upon tasting the meal her customers get served; but this one should suffice. It was like the food was injuring her. :bluedoggo :

The meals continue to be terrible. The owner makes an effort to keep her cooks ignorant of the customer's opinion, even Ramsay's. Meanwhile, in the dining area, he continues to ask the waitress about the terrible food, and she explains how no one is allowed to go back to the chefs and tell them anything.

In a moment of doubt, Genevieve looks back at Tatiana, who shakes her head at her, as if trying to get her to shut up. She just looks back at Ramsay and tells him the owner doesn't do anything about the bad food.

And then the lasagna arrives. The waitress warned Gordon not to order it; but he felt adventurous. Here's an Everest to climb.

The lasagna wasn't well-received.

Gordon asks if it was microwaved. Another waitress answers from behind the counter that it was. Tatiana tells her to let her answer the questions. She'll do damage control until Gordon thinks he's eating at a Michelin star place!

Now a pizza's coming. The sous chef asks Casimiro if he didn't undercooked. "I don't know" is the answer. This man will get places.

Tatiana crosses her fingers as she hopes for a good roll on the d20... oh, wait, this isn't RNG, Casimiro should have prepared a good pizza.

"Oh no, he doesn't like the pizza", she tells to her mother, looking alarmed. I feel like Tatiana wasn't properly briefed as to how Ramsay reacts to bad food. Is reality sinking in?

In the interview: "I'm trying not to cry; but he's coming after me. I can feel it".

Oh, Tatiana... Correction is coming.

Ramsay meets the chefs. Most of them don't speak English. He tries to be as expressive as possible while saying how shit the food was. "The food is hideous. You don't need me to tell you that". That one's tough!

Tatiana looks down, pretending to understand the gravity of the situation.

"I trust him to know what he's doing", she says about Casimiro, who doesn't look pleased to be reprimanded. Gordon says "No. He's been getting away with it for years". Daniella, the sous chef, nods in agreement.

Gordon inspects the ingredients. Tatiana looks closer to crying.

There we go, the debate over the meatballs began. Gordon finds a ton of frozen meatballs and asks if the chef can't make them. He says he can. Then he asks if the chef doesn't want to make them. He replies "no, we buy them". :laughingatyou :

Daniella has that Greek statue profile. Casimiro's is more of a sleepy Mongolian's.

Ramsay takes out loads of frozen pasta asking why so much. Tatiana covers her eyes to make Ramsay disappear as if she were a baby. Then, when seeing the amount of dough in the freezer she almost starts crying.

It's like her first encounter ever with accountability and it's destroying her.

Aaand tears. Gordon did the bit where he unreasonably points out that the owner should be accountable for what happens in his establishment and Tatiana starts crying.

Gordon's like

"Excuse me, don't start looking for sympathy now. Who wanted this place?"

This is hilarious. He's like "I don't care how you feel. I care about what's gonna happen to your sister and mother if this place fails. What are you going to do?" And she just says "I don't know, Gordon *sniff*". And here Gordon becomes bewildered when he asks "but why did you do it?"

"Because I thought I could do it. Because I believe in myself".

"And not make changes?!"

Bro, there's no way Ramsay's not a racist. He knows nothing about Daniella's proficiency, yet he does this challenge where she and Casimiro have to prepare meatballs knowing full well she's going to be better than the Mexican.


And she is. He describes her meatballs as "10 times better", while not even trying Casimiro's because he was boiling them in sauce. The chef tells Tatiana he doesn't like what's happening. She looks on, before telling him he's good, as if he were a child. From one child to another, they must understand each other.

Now's the night service and Casimiro lets everyone in the kitchen know he's a follower of Zen philosophy, so those retards at the dining area better get comfortable as he's not in a hurry. I sure hope Gordon doesn't disagree.

Casimiro's hostility towards Ramsay increases, dismissing his sarcastic comments about telling the customers the chef wants to take it easy. He repeats his intentions of not working fast. Which is odd, I could understand if he said he wasn't gonna hurry, but he's saying, in Spanish, that he literally won't work fast. As if that's an option; he just doesn't feel like it.

Meanwhile Tatiana downs a glass of wine mid-service.

Fortunately, people love the Italian food and not a single complaint escapes their lips. OK, that's a lie. The opposite happens. The Italian food even fails at tasting Italian.

Ah, this is hard to watch. Casimiro isn't used to people giving him shit. Gordon takes away his food and begins to complain about how it's being prepared. He wants it back and thinks Ramsay is just wasting time.

Tatiana returns from the dining area after hearing complaints from many customers. She tells the problems to Ramsay, he tells her to tell that to her chef. Casimiro's angry now. He's gonna put this Scottish arsehole in his place! By the way, he didn't understand a word of English; yet here he speaks the subtitled line in good English, as if he's even lazy about language and could've spoken to Daniella in her language all along but instead she had to learn Spanish.

Here comes RaHoWa Ramsay, giving zero shits about Casimiro's attitude and hitting back with his own. He points out how his ineptitude is costing the owners' houses.

But Casimiro laughs it of. I think he won that one.
