Personally, I don't care how easy or difficult a game is as long as I'm having fun. I don't like playing Dark Souls because I legitimately don't have fun while playing it, but playing Devil May Cry on Dante Must Die mode is a lot more fun despite still being pretty challenging. There is nothing more fun, in my opinion, that exploiting a game and feeling that sense of accomplishment that you were able to get around the "intended experience" in the first place. I will go out of my way to try and break something or do it in the unintended way, and often times that turns out to take so much longer than it would if I had just done it the intended way, but I get a lot more enjoyment out of it.
